*1989 - Coordinator-Administrator Tyler initiated State of Montana Governor’s Proclamation establishing National Peace Officers' Memorial Day (est. 1962) as Montana Peace Officers' Memorial Day; Tyler also established the guidelines for the official law enforcement community annual, statewide participated observance of Peace Officers’ Memorial Day.
2004, July - MLEM Board of Directors unanimously accepted Great Falls Police proposal to relocate MLEM/Memorial to offered City of Great Falls building located near City Civic Center.
2004, Fall - MLEM Closed in Deer Lodge.
2005, 15 May - Official Montana Peace Officers' Memorial Day observed in State Capitol of Helena; first observance not conducted at the Memorial site. (MLEM Board of Directors voted to re-locate statewide observance around the state.)
2005, December: representation-site set up in Great Falls, Holiday Village Mall. (1,000 sq. ft.)
2006, 15 May - Official Montana Peace Officers' Memorial Day observed in Great Falls.
2006, Fall - Retrieval and disbursement of MLEM artifacts and property from Deer Lodge - EXCEPT for the Montana Law Enforcement Officers' Memorial.
2007, March - MLEM Board of Directors announced their hubris abandonment of the Montana Law Enforcement Officers Memorial to Deer Lodge and operation by a covetous-from-the-beginning Powell County Museum & Arts Foundation. Founder-designer of Memorial/MLEM Coordinator-Administrator Tyler resigned in total discouragement and outrage; having also been told of the withdraw of the Great Falls site proposal.
